Approved Participants
Participation is permissioned, not a partnership
SmartLink Approved Participants are not “partners” in a commercial sense. Participation is granted on a controlled, permissioned basis to enable secure and auditable data exchange in the best interests of the industry.
Approved Participants operate under NDA, agreed data-handling obligations, and defined technical scopes. Access can be limited by role, organisation, and integration capability, and all exchanges are logged for traceability.

What is required to become an Approved Participant
- A legitimate operational need to exchange claims or repair data with approved parties
- Signed NDA and acceptance of SmartLink data handling and confidentiality requirements
- No conflicts of interest that would undermine neutrality or participant trust
- Demonstrated security posture, including access controls and secure storage and transmission
- Technical capability to integrate safely, including authentication, authorisation, and scope controls
- Agreement to auditability requirements, including logging, traceability, and incident reporting
- Ongoing compliance with governance rules, including change control and periodic reviews
Important: Approval is not automatic. SmartLink may decline applications where risk, conflicts, or governance concerns exist, or where participation would compromise neutrality.
